Ingredients

  • 1 FRESCHETTA® Thin Crust Five Cheese Pizza
  • 3 1/4 oz. Butternut squash, peeled and cut into thin half moons
  • 1 tsp Olive oil
  • 1/3 cup Apples, peeled and diced into small cubes
  • 3 tbsp Butter, unsalted
  • 1 tbsp Sage, fresh
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 pinch Pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F.
  2. Coat squash in olive oil, sprinkle with a pinch of salt and pepper, roast 6-7 minutes until cooked through and starting to brown.
  3. Remove pizza from all packaging, including the cardboard disk.
  4. Spread squash and diced apples evenly over pizza, bake as directed on packaging.
  5. Meanwhile, heat butter in a saucepan over medium heat until starting to foam. Swirl gently until toasted brown bits appear in the bottom of the pan. Be careful not to burn. Immediately add sage leaves and swirl to fry the leaves for about 60 seconds; remove from heat and set aside.
  6. After pizza is finished baking, remove to cutting board; spread crispy sage evenly over the top and drizzle with remaining butter; serve immediately.

Disclaimer: Pizza should be cooked to an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit. Once cooked, let pizza cool for at least two minutes before eating.
